A delegation from the Chinese Embassy in Lebanon, headed by the Economic and Commercial Counselor Mrs. Wang, and Mrs. Ting visited the headquarters of the Arab Chinese Cooperation and Development Association in Badaro.
The delegation was received by the President of the Association, Kassem Tofailli, Dr. Nabil Srour, and Mr. Hassan Nasser Eddin, along with several other members of the association.
Both sides exchanged congratulations and wishes for the upcoming holy month of Ramadan.
Then a discussion took place regarding Lebanese Chinese economic cooperation, focusing specifically on collaboration in the field of agriculture and efforts to finalize the agricultural protocol between Lebanon and China. This would enable Lebanese producers to export certain agricultural products to the Chinese market.
In addition, the association emphasized the importance of initiating initiatives, especially regarding the possibility of Lebanese exporters from various sectors participating in the China International Import Expo “CIIE”, which is held annually at the beginning of November in Shanghai. The president of the association and its members wished for the Chinese delegation to provide the promised support to continue working and supporting Lebanon and the activities of the association, ensuring further cooperation.
The discussion also touched on various economic matters, and the participants agreed on the importance of cooperation as a necessity for both sides.
