The China NGO Network for International Exchanges, under the auspices of the International Department of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, organized a seminar on November 15, 2022, entitled “Enhancing International Civil Society solidarity and cooperation to build a better world for all”.
The seminar was opened by Mr. Chen Ju, Vice Minister of International Relations of the Communist Party of China, with a speech in which he stressed the importance of the work of civil society institutions and their role in sustainable development. He stressed the CPC’s keenness to support the role of these organizations and interact with them.
More than 200 organizations from 70 countries participated in this seminar.
The participants in the seminar spoke highly of the global significance of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China and its contribution to the international level. They put forward their proposals on how to enable the international civil society to better understand the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, facilitate communication and cooperation, establish closer relations between people of different countries, and contribute to building a community with a shared future for mankind.
In turn, the President of the Arab Chinese Cooperation and Development Association, Mr. Qassem Tufaili, delivered a speech in which he stressed that The convening of the twentieth national congress was an exceptional event in exceptional historical circumstances and the comprehensive report approved by the conference came to form an “important document that will be a guide not only to understanding the stage reached by your party’s pioneering experience in building socialism with Chinese characteristics, but the conclusions you reached indicate the extent of its maturity. This experience through the creative ideas of modernization and the new mode of development in the new era.”
He added that the Chinese Communist Party Congress opens new horizons and practical options to benefit from the Chinese experience. The twentieth congress laid out the general outlines of future projects to advance the great renewal of the Chinese nation in an all-round way. He considered that the Chinese style of socialist modernization represents a very important opportunity for the world and civil society, as the modernization of a society of 1.4 billion people, with its significant challenges, will be inspiring to peoples and have clear effects all over the world.
Tufaili stressed that China’s path towards modernization contrasts greatly with modernization in the Western style, which was based on the exploitation and colonization of peoples and the looting of their wealth and resources. It is the modernization that is embodied in the looting and destruction of the natural environment, which led to major climatic disasters.
In conclusion, he appealed to friends in China and in the Chinese Communist Party to pay more attention to interacting with young people, especially through social media and other media so that we can convey the message and tell the true story of China. The world needs to learn from the Chinese experience as an introduction to solving the common problems facing humanity with more Chinese wisdom, solutions and strength, which will make new and significant contributions to promoting peace and human development.
